Over the Easter holidays, we will be opening our doors for a packed afternoon of food, fun, crafts and games – all focused on the Easter story as outlined in The Holy Bible. Our weekly free community lunch is being extended to include activities for the whole family!
Grandparents, are you looking after your Grandchildren? Parents, are you struggling to find something to keep the kids busy? Well between 12-3pm on 17th April, we have a number of activities going on and it’s all free! There will be lunch, refreshments, crafts, activities, quizzes and prizes. There will also be an opportunity to reflect on the story of Jesus.
Everyone is welcome, we look forward to seeing you!
We had a great time on Sunday 17th February. Who would have known that it could be so hard to hit a ball with a big stick…. Of course it was all made easier by having ‘The Master’ Mark Flanagan (pictured right) on hand to give us some of his many years of wisdom and advice. Apparently he used to be good at golf 😉. You can check out some more photo’s below.

Being Ready for Now was the title of this year’s conference inspired by Esther 4:14. Christian Life Coach Karen Van Der Poll was our guest facilitator as we explored our Purpose, Passion and Potential and Dream Planning to enable us to go deeper with God and in pursuing our calling.
Over 70 ladies attended the event with an Esther banquet style lunch, worship, teaching and group discussions. See the video below for highlights from the day.
Friday Night we re launched our Men’s Ministry, no messing no fuss we called it SCF MEN! We had a great night with 30 or so blokes as we shared where we thought God was calling us to focus. Our desire is to see men building relationship with one another while growing in their walk with Jesus. We are serious about doing that and we often do it around food, curry to be exact!!!!!!!
However, it does not stop there, we want to also reach out to our friends who do not know Jesus and simply build relationships with them. For us at SCF the starting point is to form friendships and not bible bash. In fact our first few social events should be simply that social.

A great night was had by all at our Ladies Hong Kong fundraiser meal in aid of Marie Curie and Breast Cancer Haven in honour of Kerri Rennison who went to be with the Lord last year after a battle with breast cancer. Kerri was a truly inspirational woman who helped and supported so many especially our young people and is greatly missed by us. Kerri grew up in Hong Kong which was our food inspiration which was complemented by a fabulous Chinese cake courtesy of Mandy our Children’s Pastor and a Chinese photo booth captured memories from the evening. Over £1000 was raised towards a very worthy cause – thanks to everyone who came along.

January and February have seen us journeying through the book of Colossians learning about the apostle Paul and the church at Colossae, the Supremacy of Christ and our spiritual fullness in Him and how we can “Walk in Him” (Colossians 2:6). All talks can be accessed from our Home page or Sunday page.
